Peter was an outstanding photo coach. On our half-day tour, he took us to Blouberg Beach for sunrise shots of Table Mountain across the water, and the colorful beach huts at St. James Bay and Muizenberg Beach; all the places we wanted to shoot. We even had some of the best fish and chips ever at Kalky’s in Kalk Bay. He provided clear and concise guidance and wonderfully creative ideas for shooting the scenes. His patience and professional demeanor paid off when he worked with my wife, who is a beginning photographer and a bit intimidated by the technical aspects of the camera and the craft. He helped her understand her camera and the basics of photography, while shooting some beautiful photos that she is genuinely proud of. Now, because of Peter’s guidance, she considers herself a real photographer, instead of someone who occasionally takes snapshots. As a photographer with more experience, I came away with some photographs that I am proud of, as well as a better understanding of myself as a photographer. Peter helped me take my photography to a higher level.

Peter offers tremendous value by combining a private tour and photography course in and around Capetown. I had a great experience and found Peter to be very accommodating to my unique situation (I use a wheelchair to get around). The area offered many scenic locations to practice photography and Peter’s instruction was helpful yet not intrusive to the experience. We even stopped to fly my drone in two places which enabled me to get some additional shots from a different perspective. I highly recommend engaging Peter if you are in Capetown and considering a tour while also learning about photography.

I had a full day private tour with Peter to Cape Point and to the Cape of Good Hope, which has been on my bucket list for a long time. Peter is extremely knowledgeable and has a wealth of information to share about South Africa and the Cape. The added bonus is that he is a great photographer and willing to share his experience and passion about this field. I strongly recommend Peter as a guide and look forward to returning to South Africa & Cape Town again with my family.

Thumbs up again to Peter! Two years ago, we had a wonderful Garden Route Photo Tour with Peter. This time he arranged another wonderful tour for my wife and I (from Canada) to Namibia. He put in a lot of time and effort into the three-week itinerary so that we covered most of the iconic places. We photographed many diverse subjects from landscape, culture, wildlife and the stars. The Astrophotography was particularly fun. Peter is very knowledgable about the country of Namibia; and he is a great teacher. Most importantly he is fun to travel with. We had a great time. We highly recommend Peter.

A trip to South Africa was #1 on my bucket list for such a long time – I can now check that off my list! I extended my trip beyond that of my travel partners and ventured to Cape Town to see the penguin colony. Peter was such a wonderful photography host & teacher for the day. He asked what I wanted to see and ensured that we hit all the points! Since we both shoot Canon, he taught me things about my camera that I didn’t know how to use, as well as some new techniques. He is a walking history book of the Cape Town area; I thoroughly enjoyed the short stories and ghost stories! This was the “cherry on top” of my SA trip! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND a day of photography adventure with Peter!
