West Coast Flower Tours
Springtime is flower time, as the West Coast is transformed into a wildflower wonderland, from August to September every year.
You don’t have to travel far from Cape Town to find flowers, and although the flowers only open in full sun, we still get an early morning start with a photo session on Blouberg Beach to photograph our beautiful Table Mountain in the early ‘golden hour” before making our way to the West Coast National Park, to visit the Postberg Nature Reserve, that is only open to the public for a short period during the flower season. We spend the morning exploring the area and photographing carpets of wildflowers and the detail with close-up photographs.
We return to Cape Town in the afternoon via the quaint little hamlet of Darling with several wild flower reserves like the Tienie Versveld and Duckitt Flower Reserves.
Our final “photo stop” for the day is the Mamre Moravian Mission Station with its historic buildings, now all declared national monuments.
Learn how to improve your landscape, flower and macro photography, and how to get great results every time.
It’s all about how you click, Darling!
